Pattinson: 'I had better award ideas'

Robert Pattinson has said that he had better plans for what to do when he and co-star Kristen Stewart won for 'Best Kiss' at the MTV Movie Awards.

The Twilight actor's co-stars were said to be unimpressed with his ideas. He and Stewart instead staged an awkward kiss while accepting the trophy for their on-screen love scene in New Moon.

"I was telling everyone, 'Listen, just leave it to me, I've got it all under control'," he told MTV News.

"I was telling everyone all these ideas. I gave them a whole selection and no-one thought they were funny, so then we ended up doing something which didn't work."

Pattinson recently admitted that he is still overwhelmed by the popularity of the Twilight franchise, which took home five statues at Sunday night's ceremony.
