P. Diddy wants soccer team

P. Diddy dreams of owning a successful soccer team.

The music mogul - who earns an estimated $30 million a year and has his own clothing line, fragrance collection, restaurant and brand of vodka - is keen to branch out his business ventures further and thinks buying a sports team would be a good investment.

He said: "I'm always looking into different business ventures and it's definitely one of my dreams one day to be a part of a sports franchise, especially a soccer team.

"If the right situation comes my way and it's appealing and we can make the right splash and most importantly build the right team and win... I'm into winning and if it's the right situation then I'm open to it."

The music star recently considered an offer to buy struggling English club Crystal Palace, who were on the brink of liquidation this year, but turned down the chance to take over the side.

Diddy - real name Sean Combs - told the BBC: "There was somebody that had looked at it but the business of it just wasn't the right business move for me at the time."

The 'I'll Be Missing You' hitmaker recently admitted he once fired his personal assistant when the employee complained of tiredness after working for three days without a break.

Speaking of the incident, which took place after he first found success, he told XXL magazine: "He was like, 'I'm tired, I can't do it no more'. Instead of being compassionate, I said, 'You know what rhymes with tired?' That's the savage in me.

"People were getting turned off by my success. It was all champagne, bad chicks, winning all the time. Who wants to see that?

"I think a lot of artists who get that power go through that storm of self-destruction, and they learn to become better people. It was a lesson that I learned."
