Julia Roberts thinks her children are "really interesting human beings".
The 'Eat, Pray, Love' actress - who has five-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and son Henry, three, with her cameraman husband Daniel Moder - is delighted at the type of people her kids are becoming and believes the fun they have as a family has played a big part in shaping their personalities
She said: "They love books. I don't act for them per se, but we certainly play a lot. I'm very impressed with my kids. I think they're really interesting human beings. I have a good time with them."
The 42-year-old actress admits she sometimes just sits and watches the tots wake up in the morning, because she finds their behaviour "fascinating".
She explained: "It's just so fascinating to me - they're so great and sweet and present. I'm amazed by their innocence."
As well as being a hands-on mother, Julia has also learnt how to sew to make homemade gifts for her loved-ones.
She added: "This is my new skill to keep my brain firm. I made some big pillows for the kids and some really simple pants for Danny."
