A Chinese inland and Muslim countries-oriented international commodity trading center is expected to be built by February 2010 in Yinchuan, in northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Xinhua reported August 3, 2009.
Ningxia enjoys abundant land and natural resources, and it can become the trading center in northwest of China by cooperating with more economically developed provinces like Zhejiang, said Wang Zhengwei, Governor of the Ningxia region. The trading center will also serve as one important window for the economic cooperation with other Muslim countries or regions.
Xinhua also said that the trading center, upon completion, will attract investment through favorable polices, such as reduced taxes and fees. |
