| China has taken a successful pattern of development on Tibet Autonomous Region, said an expert at the forum concerning development of Tibet held in Rome of Italy.
Luosendaer, an Italian expert in history and regional economy, said in the forum Tibet still lags behind in overall development than other coastal regions of China and a further progress is needed.
Since the reform and opening-up policy, Tibet has achieved great improvement in various aspects, especially in shake-off of poverty and development in medical, educational and other fields.
According to Luosendaer China's special investment in Tibet is rather huge, much higher than that for its coastal regions.
Considering the special geography and history of Tibet, China's pattern of development made in Tibet is successful, winning international high praise.
The forum aiming to introduce the current condition and prospect of Tibet was held in Rome, capital of Italy on Oct. 22, with more than 400 domestic and foreign experts and officials in attendance. |
