Tibet has provided 12, 700 new job offerings to the public in the past half year with an unemployment rate of 3.44 percent, reaching 60.6 percent of the preset annual target, according to the figures shown on the "Human Resource and Social Welfare Forum" of Tibet, in the southwest of China.

Labor service exporting is another approach for tackling unemployment. In the first six months, 243,000 labors have been sent out of Tibet. Measures were implemented to guide more college graduates to go west and the grass-roots units, starting from small enterprises or public welfare positions.

Training programs has been guaranteed for all types of workers to strengthen skills. It is recorded that 11,200 people have taken part in 190 sessions of training classes with a 67.5 percent employment rate in the first half year.
