A painting by artist Wang Luping from the Chinese Painting Academy, uses different flowers to represent different regions and countries. For example the cherry blossom represents Japan and peonies for China. And under the integrated pattern of white magnolia, a flower to represent the city of Shanghai, as well as the Expo Emblem, which depicts the images of three people: you, me, him/her holding hands together. It took the artist three months to finish the painting, which measures at 1.2 * 1.2 meters, and he named the painting “Flowery World Embraces Expo.” [Photo/Wang Luping] |
