China launches remote-sensing satellite 'Yaogan X'

The remote-sensing satellite, "Yaogan X", is sent into space aboard a Long March 4C carrier rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi Province, Aug 10, 2010. The satellite is supposed to conduct scientific experiment, carry out surveys on land resources, forecast grain output and play a role in natural disaster reduction and prevention. [Photo/Xinhua]
