Luxury villa extensions built without approval are demolished in Wuhan city, the capital of Central China's Hubei province, July 25, 2011. Urban management officers tore down 19 unapproved buildings covering more then 2,800 square meters in a high-end villa community. In May, 19 households in the villa community were found to have extended their villas without approval. One resident who owns two neighboring villas even constructed a bridge to connect the two properties, blocking a public passage and access for fire fighters. [Photo/CFP] |
