River users battle invasive water hyacinth

Water hyacinth blankets the upper reach of the Shuikou hydropower station on the Minjiang River in East China's Fujian province, August 2, 2011. The invasive plant, which can double its area in 10 to 15 days, is also floating on about 10 km of the lower reach of the power station, affecting transportation and depriving fish of oxygen.
