Qi Youpeng, 91, walks on a path in forestland in Guibang village, Huangshaguang town in East China's Jiangxi province on Feb 15, 2012. Qi has been working as a forest ranger taking care of 333 hectares of forestland for 40 years and enduring a poor life. Now he can only get 120 yuan ($19) of subsidy from the village government each month. Over the past 40 years, he has planted more than 570,000 trees.
