A company in Yulin put up banners near a street where more than a dozen dog meat restaurants are located, protesting against the animal rights activists who came to the city to advocate a ban on eating dog meat. Many local residents said their life have been affected by those dog lovers.“We respect and support the culture of (eating) lychee and dog meat, and we respect and support the law more,” one of the banners read. Currently in China, there is no specific law that bans eating dog. [Photo/chinadaily.com.cn] |
