Chloe names Paulo Melim Andersson chief designer
PARIS - Paulo Melim Andersson has been appointed new chief designer of fashion label Chloe and will present his first collection for the house in March, the company said on Wednesday.
The Swedish designer, who comes from Italian fashion company Marni, follows in the footsteps of designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney at Chloe.
"We are thrilled to have Paulo join us and look forward to him becoming part of the Chloe design legacy," Chloe chairman Ralph Toledano said in a statement.
Melim Andersson, 34, takes up the design duties at Chloe after British designer Phoebe Philo left the house at the beginning of the year to spend more time with her family.
Chloe, owned by Swiss-based luxury goods maker Richemont, is known for its romantic Bohemian looks and targets a young clientele.
