This brunch experience is not only an amazing deal but guaranteed to make you commit the deadly sin of gluttony.

Hilton Wangfujing’s Fizztastic Champagne Brunch is one for the history books. Filled with endless Taittinger champagne, live cooking stations, an endless row of dim sum, and almost mountains of cotton candy, cakes, and fondue, the Hilton will send you leaving with awe!

Encompassed within an airy, light filled room of whites and beiges in an elegant fusion style, you feel special when you enter. That feeling only continues and soars with the polite and gracious English speaking staff and chefs. Then when the jazz group starts singing and playing, that feeling transforms into voracious excitement, ready to eat everything offered.

And then your heart does a whirl and flutters, as it is overwhelmed by the copious amounts of food. The choices are almost too many, and can stupefy anyone who considers themselves a gastronome.

One section is filled with cold deli meats, salads, roast crackling pig, a steak grilling stand, a shawarma stand, fresh sea food, and fried chips and calamari. The next station is endless amounts of dim sum including pork buns, shark fin soup, dumplings, and anything else Chinese you can think of. Finally, there is a room filled with chocolate and white fondue, fruits, cookies, cakes, cotton candy, sugared fruity sticks, soufflés and tarts, and a crepe station.

With these immaculate culinary experiments, it can be hard to choose, and some dishes may be average to some and not to others. This food critic has chosen to comment on the dishes that most amazed her.

The luscious steak station is a definite must try. In front of your eyes the chefs will grill steak, lamb chops, and other meats before your eyes. The lamb chops were plump and tender and the moist juices simply drizzled onto the tongue. The pasta station was serene if one can use the term. With tossed spaghetti and fresh mushrooms, meats, and tomato and capsicum with both tomato sauce and green pesto. It sat on the tongue and slowly melted the palate to sheer bliss.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, the fresh lobster and oysters brightened up the senses and were almost too titillating to put down. An easy over-indulgent, but well worth the gorging. The shawarma station was not only a surprise but better than the popular stands outside, with great meat and toppings that just seared the mouth.

For those who are too full to continue walking, there are sausage skewering stations and pizza stations that come to you, as well as a large salted crab pan and a roast cutting table. The sausage skewers doused and barbeques in Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey, and were succulent and spicy, and perfect. The best sausage skewers I have tasted.

For dessert, the cheesecake and lemon cake were creamy and satisfyingly sweet, and the white chocolate fondue was incredible. However, the crepe station was the standout. It was made to perfection with just the right texture of fluffiness and crispiness and topped with amazing chocolate and caramel sauces that were creamy and light at the same time. Se scintillating desserts was only topped off with the ice cream stand all of which was a cross between ice cream and gelato, and really satiated the palate.

For RMB368 + 15% this brunch experience is not only an amazing deal but guaranteed to make you commit the deadly sin of gluttony. This luxurious experience is one to remember and a rare chance in a lifetime to try food like this in unlimited amounts. You are not just paying for the Hilton name when you try this brunch.
