China Restaurant Week serves up tempting menu

China Restaurant Week is serving up a menu of tempting treats from Sept 2 to 8.

The event will highlight an array of gastronomic delights in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou with more than 180 restaurants taking part.

A sample of their chef’s culinary skills will be on offer for prices far below their normal.

A three-course lunch from 78 yuan ($13), and dinner from 99 yuan per head should whet the appetite.

Reservations can be made online at www.restaurantweek.cn.

Partaking restaurants include One East at The Hilton Beijing, as well as Mosto, Brasserie Flo and Whampoa Club.

Organizers say they are trying to promote more Chinese restaurants, and new food locales such as Solana and Lido rather than just Sanlitun.
