A girls' night of Spanish delight

Boqueria features a Market Menu that changes weekly to reflect what is available and fresh. It is a good idea to choose at least a couple of the featured items on this menu.

The roasted suckling pig Segovia-style was so tender that it could be cut up using only the side of a plate. Served with roasted potatoes, the skin was roasted until crispy and the meat was succulent and tender. After using the plate to cut up the pig, we smashed it to bits on the floor for good luck. It was all very exciting.

To finish our meal, we enjoyed some fresh berries and ice cream, as well as the signature churros and chocolate. One of my fellow diners was a bit wary of the churros as she had been disappointed in the past with cold churros that weren't crispy. But we were thrilled with our hot, crispy, sugar- and cinnamon-dusted fried sticks of deliciousness dipped in warm chocolate sauce. It was a good ending to a good meal.
