"The promotion generated more publicity for us than we expected. Within one day, the event was reported by over 300 media all over the world in different languages" said Wu. "Many companies and brands approached us for cooperation, bringing more opportunities to us. Within 24 hours, our WeChat followers increased by about 50,000."

However, Wu and her partner have not settled for their publicity success and soon moved on with busy work.

"So far, our biggest challenge is not the brand's awareness," she said. "But to build a team that's strong enough to meet the customers' growing needs and continually provide quality service and products."

Sweetie Salad is planning to launch their delivery service in Shanghai in October.
