Ferrero Group, one of the largest chocolate and confectionery manufacturers in the world, recently launched its 7th issue of Corporate Social Responsibility Report in China.

A sharing event on the report featuring visual display with interactive facilities to showcase Ferrero's key strategy and latest achievements in CSR area was hosted in Beijing.

Focusing on two main aspects — "People and The Planet", the report presented the group's constant care for consumers, employees, and the communities where it operates, as well as its achievements and initiatives in sustainable agricultural practices and environmental protection during the fiscal year of 2014/2015.

"Being a global group does not prevent us from acting locally, thus we maintain our strong bond with the people and territory in which we operate," said Giovanni Ferrero, Chief Executive Officer of the group.

Since the company introduced its corporate social responsibility program of "Kinder+Sport" into China in 2009, Ferrero has been promoting "the joy of moving" and active lifestyle to Chinese children and their families.

With over seven years' development, 36 events have been conducted including tennis training camp, football training camp and family marathon, covering cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In total, it has involved about 5,500 children and their families and contacted over 1.24 million people.
