中国日报网环球在线消息：2月3日，本网从欧洲委员会驻华代表团新闻处获悉，欧洲委员会主席巴罗佐致函中国总理温家宝，就中国雨雪冰冻灾害表示亲切慰问。

该新闻处说，欧洲委员会主席若泽·曼努埃尔·巴罗佐致函温家宝总理，对在过去一周内中国很多地区遭遇的异常恶劣天气以及由此带来的种种困难表示亲切慰问。受天气的影响很多中国人在一年中最重要的节日前返家团聚的旅行受到了阻碍。

巴罗佐主席衷心地希望目前的困难能够尽早得到解决，并保证欧盟在这个关键时刻将本着双方人民间的友谊和团结精神提供一切必需的帮助。

Dear All,

This is to inform you that European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso sent a message of sympathy and solidarity to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao following the unusually harsh weather conditions that have beset many parts of China over the past week and caused hardship and disruption for many ordinary Chinese citizens at this important time of the year when they are travelling home to be with their families.

He expressed his sincere hope that the current difficulties can be resolved as soon as possible and also pledged any necessary help that the European Union might be able to offer China in this time of need in the spirit of friendship and solidarity between both peoples.
