Policies on property market should be followed: CCIEE

An economic forum hosted by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges(CCIEE) was held in Beijing on July 20.

Li Deshui, the former director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said current policies on China's property market should be followed.

According to Li, two attitudes exist toward the property market. The wait-and-see group expects the market to rebound and hopes to make fast bucks all over again, while the other group is betting on the government to lower property prices.

"The wait-and-see group is being unrealistic. The strong momentum of housing prices will create bubbles if it's not properly controlled. It will be a strong hit to the nation's and the world's economy," Li said.
