BEIJING - Chinese shares posted a moderate rise Tuesday after a big rally on the previous trading day, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending at 2,671.89 points, up 10.18 points, or 0.38 percent.
Combined turnover shrank to 241.9 billion yuan ($35.6 billion) from 244.8 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 622 to 246 in Shanghai and 747 to 323 in Shenzhen.
