As many as 134 listed companies have never given investors any dividends in any form, including three companies that have been listed for at least ten years, the China Business Daily (CBN) reported Friday.
Reporters from CBN analyzed data from Wind Information, a leading financial information provider in China, and found that altogether 187 listed companies have not given out cash dividends. Among them, only 53 have awarded investors with shares as dividends. The other 134 have not awarded investors dividends in any form.
The report pointed out that share prices of companies that never give out dividends can hardly see any breakthrough. The share prices of Guizhou Boxin Mining Co Ltd and Tai Yuan Tianlong Group Co Ltd, for example, stay around their issue prices.
