China to issue 20.54b yuan of one-year T-bonds from Thursday

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Finance said Wednesday that it would float a batch of one-year book-entry treasury bonds worth 20.54 billion yuan ($3 billion) from Thursday.

A statement on the ministry website said the bonds, with a fixed annual interest rate of 1.87 percent, would be sold to the public from Sept 9 to 13, and become tradable on Spet 15.

Interest would be calculated from SeptĀ 9. Principal and interest will be paid upon maturity, according to the statement.

This is the 30th batch of its kind launched by the ministry this year.
