BEIJING - Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan, President Hu Jintao's special representative, held a pre-scheduled phone conversation Wednesday with US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, President Barack Obama's special representative.

Wang and Geithner exchanged views on fiscal and financial as well as economic and trade issues concerning China and the United States. They also discussed the economic ties between the two countries.
