China has 55,000 businesspeople with a fortune of at least 110 million yuan ($16.5 million) who could retire from work at the age of 45 and enjoy a "a pleasant retirement," according to a Hurun report issued yesterday, chinanews.com.cn reported Monday.
It is the first time the Hurun Research Institute has issued "a pleasant retirement" report, according to the website.
The report pays close attention to the new lifestyle of China's wealthy entrepreneurs who have earned enough money in business to enjoy a happy retirement, the website reported.
"It's a trend that rich people are learning to enjoy their lives in stead of focus only on working," Rupert Hoogewerf, the report's compiler, said.
