China exported 1,519 units of machinery equipment to Russia via Manzhouli, a major land port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in the first four months of this year, a rise of 185 percent year-on-year, according to local customs house.
Customs analysts saw the following factors behind the fast growth: demand was increasing in Russia as the nation's mining industry developed rapidly, which was spurred by price hikes for mineral resources on international markets; Russian economy recovered rapidly, driving up the real estate and construction sectors in the country; and China's machinery equipment boasts good quality and price advantage.
