Well digger uncovers ancient burial mound

A tumulus, or ancient burial mound, thought to be from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD24), was uncovered in a private yard in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province on Feb 19, 2011, Yangzi Evening News reported.

It was found while Lu Mingheng was digging a water well in his yard. When Lu found some evidences suggesting the possibility of a tumulus, he decided to stop digging and told the local government and police.

More than 20 historical relics were found so far and no evidence of grave robbers.
