BEIJING - China and Japan will promote sustained economic cooperation and strengthen their mutually beneficial strategic relationship at an economic forum this weekend, China's Ministry of Commerce announced Tuesday.
As the world is at a crucial stage of transformation from crisis to recovery, all countries needed to work on the issues of global economic restructuring and shifting growth patterns, said the statement.
The dialogue, jointly launched by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and then Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, first convened in 2007 in Beijing and the second meeting was held in 2009 in Tokyo.
