MANILA - Philippine inquirers will submit the official report on the hostage tragedy that left 8 Hong Kong tourists dead to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III on Friday, local media ABS-CBN news reported on Wednesday.

The report will contain names of police and government officials who will face criminal or administrative penalties, as well as the testimony of the survivors and the official accounts of the police commanders on the ground, the media said, quoting Justice Secretary Leila de Lima who headed the investigation.

"It's a very exhaustive, fact-intensive report," de Lima told reporters on Wednesday.

China has demanded a comprehensive, thorough and impartial investigation into the August 23 hijacking of a coach carrying 21 Hong Kong tourists in Manila by a sacked police officer that ended in a tragedy following a botched police resue operation.

Aquino has pledged to send a high-level delegation led by Vice President Jejomar Binay and Foreign Secretary Alberto Romulo to Beijing and Hong Kong to submit the report on the incident.
