CAIRO - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak condemned the bomb attack in a Moscow airport on Monday and expressed solidarity with Russia in fighting terrorism, the official MENA news agency reported.

Mubarak made a telephone call to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, condemning the attackers' criminal acts, condoling on the deaths and expressing solidarity with Russia and its people in fighting terrorism, MENA said.

At least 35 people were killed and more than 130 were injured in the explosion at Moscow's Domodedovo airport on Monday. Medvedev called it a terrorist attack.

Egypt's foreign ministry also denounced the attack.

The incident highlighted the importance of rallying regional and international efforts to confront terrorism, which targeted all countries without exception, Egyptian Foreign Minister Abul Gheit said.

Egypt was also hit by a terrorist attack on Jan 1, when a blast at a church in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria killed at least 21 people and injured about 100.
