ISLAMABAD - At least 12 persons were burnt to death as a bus full of passengers caught fire in north area of Pakistan's Punjab province on late Sunday night, police said.
A bus, full of passengers going to attend a wedding, caught fire while reaching Sohawa area of Jehlum, a city in the north of Punjab, local TV channel GEO reported quoting motorway police.
Passengers could not come out of the bus quickly and in the result 12 people including women and children were burnt alive.
Several passengers sustained burn injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
