Major earthquake donations

Wanda Group

the company of China's richest man Wang Jianlin, donated 10 million yuan ($1.6 million) for disaster relief on Sunday and the local government will receive the donation through the China Charity Federation.

Evergrande Group

donated 10 million yuan and 2 million bottles of mineral water to the disaster area through China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.

Lucky Air

a local carrier in Yunnan province belonging to HNA Group, announced a donation of 10 million yuan, including 5 million yuan in cash and flight capacity equal to 5 million yuan. The carrier, which does not run routine flights to Zhaotong, has applied for permission for temporary flights and promised free delivery of relief supplies.

China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co Ltd

donated 10 million yuan on Monday and pledged that its facility in Zhaotong will strongly support the disaster relief.

The Yunnan branch of China National Petroleum Corp

donated 5 million yuan and allocated 500 tons of gasoline to guarantee supply in the area.

Haier Group Corporation

the home appliance manufacturer based in Qingdao, Shandong province, donated 6 million yuan including cash and relief materials through Qingdao Charity Federation.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd

China's largest e-commerce company, donated 5 million yuan and the donation will be delivered directly to the Civil Affairs Department of Yunnan province. The group also raised more than 1.4 million yuan through its network platforms by 3 pm on Monday.

JD.com

a Chinese B2C e-commerce company, donated 5 million yuan, including materials and cash, on Monday. It will liaise with local government and charity organizations to purchase and transport the needed materials.

Suning Commerce Group Co Ltd

a major Chinese retailer and e-commerce company, donated 5 million yuan through Yunnan Charity Federation.

Tencent Foundation

which is funded by Tencent Holding Ltd, one of the largest Internet giants in China, donated 5 million yuan and it also will work with other disaster relief organizations to provide further help.

Baidu Foundation

initiated by Baidu Inc, donated 5 million yuan to the stricken area and the company is also supporting the disaster relief through its various products, such as Baidu search and map.

Qihoo 360 Technology Co

China's anti-virus software company, donated 3 million yuan and is providing data support for disaster relief based on its technology. The company developed and launched a people-search platform especially for the disaster.

Yili Industrial Group

the dairy giant in China, donated cash and materials worth 5 million yuan, including milk and milk powder. The materials have already been transported to the disaster area.

Carrefour

donated 1 million yuan and materials worth 100,000 yuan to help the earthquake victims. Carrefour Kunming donated materials, such as drinking water and food worth 100,000 yuan, which were sent to the disaster area by Red Cross Kunming Branch Disaster Preparedness Center. Carrefour Foundation donated 1 million yuan for the purchase of relief materials and post-disaster reconstruction.

China Eastern Airlines

one of the main carriers in Yunnan province, is maintaining its two routine flights every day between Kunming and Zhaotong and has added two temporary flights every day from Aug 4 to Aug 10 in order to transport more rescue personnel and injured persons.
