Former FIFA World Player of the Year winner Kaka has revealed his desire to be a part of Brazil's 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The 33-year-old Orlando City playmaker said he wants to show he still has something to offer at the international level during friendlies against Costa Rica and the US over the next week.

"I think I can contribute with my experience, but especially with my attitude. It is very special to return to the national team," Kaka was quoted as saying by Brazilian portal Sambafoot on Wednesday.

"I do not know what (coach) Dunga's plans are. but if I get an opportunity in these games against Costa Rica and the US, I want to show that I deserve to participate in the qualifiers."

Kaka was recalled to the Brazil squad last month after being overlooked for last year's World Cup and this year's Copa America.

Brazil will play Costa Rica in New Jersey on Friday and the US in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Monday. The matches will be Brazil's first since its Copa America quarterfinal defeat to Paraguay in June.

It will be Dunga's last chance to experiment with this squad before the 2018 World Cup qualifiers begin next month.

Brazil's first qualifying match will be against Copa America winner Chile at Santiago's Estadio Nacional.
