TV

The Crown

Netflix's new series The Crown had a big win at this year's Golden Globes. It beat high-profile series, such as NBC's This Is Us and HBO's Westworld and Game of Thrones, and was crowned best TV drama. It chronicles the early years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and explores her relationship with the aging prime minister, Winston Churchill. UK actress Claire Foy, who plays the Queen, won best actress for drama series at the event.

Game

Undertale

Created by 25-year-old US indie developer Toby Fox, the role-playing video game Undertale offers players unique gameplay. It allows gamers to choose to resolve fights peacefully or through combat. Players can also solve puzzles while exploring the underground world. Ranked as IGN's best PC Game of the Year for 2016, Undertale has won other accolades as well. "Undertale dismantles the fluid morality of other RPGs and replaces it with a system where the player's actions have real, substantial consequences," The New York Times' Michael Gonchar wrote.

Music

La La Land

While the movie La La Land is making a sweep through the award season, its original soundtrack is also wining praise. The soundtrack, which won best original song for City of Stars at this year's Golden Globes, ranked in the top five on Billboard this week. Sung by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, City of Stars recreates the romantic and jazzy vibes that the film delivers. If you haven't had the chance to watch the movie, listening to the soundtrack can be a good start.
