Zhejiang, Ningxia appoint top officials
Che Jun, former governor of Zhejiang province, has been appointed Party chief of the province, replacing Xia Baolong, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Che is also a member of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee.
Born in 1955, Che worked in Anhui province in various posts for 32 years until 2005.
Between 2005 and 2015, he held senior posts in Hebei province and the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, including deputy Party chief of the province and of the region.
Since June 2016, Che worked as deputy Party chief of Zhejiang, and later as governor of the province.
On Wednesday, Xinhua also reported that Shi Taifeng was appointed Party chief of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, replacing Li Jianhua.
Before that Shi held senior posts including governor of Jiangsu province and vice-president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.
Shi was born in 1956 and has a master's degree in law.
