The national dance drama Hua Mulan is adapted according to the Chinese folk songs in the Northern dynasties (439-581). It tells the story of a young girl who grows up to a heroic woman. She disguises herself as a man to join the army instead of her father and accomplishes the mission successfully. Also, she pursues love peace and freedom. The dance drama integrates the modern stage technology elements, creating a story line about self-discovery and self-identity.

Beijing Peking Opera Theater Guzheng Concert

As the young Guzheng performer of the Jingju Theater Company of Beijing and a member of the Chinese Musicians' Association, ShangJingya graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music. She won the Golden Prize in the 2nd International Guzheng Competition (Youth Professional Group). She successfully held a Guzheng recital in 2014. In the same year, she published her Guzheng DVD album Jingya's Guzheng Words.

In a midsummer night in Athens, Duke Theseus and his fiancee are busy preparing their wedding. In the meantime, another couple of lovers are worrying about their love. The beautiful Hermia is in love with Lysander, but her father Egeus insists that she weds Demetrius. Egeus' demand is supported by the Duke. Should Hermia resist she would be sentenced to death or a lifetime of chastity, according to the Athenian law. To pursue their love, Hermia and Lysander flee into the forest outside Athens.

Coco Lee is a Hong Kong-born American singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actress. Lee's career began in Hong Kong and then expanded to Taiwan. Her single, "Do You Want My Love" also entered the US music charts. Her first full-length English language album was Just No Other Way. As a Chinese American, Lee is the first and only person of Chinese ethnicity to perform at the Oscars; she performed the Best Original Song nominated, "A Love Before Time" from the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Oliver Heldens is a Dutch DJ and electronic music producer from Rotterdam. His 2013 song, "Gecko", caught the attention of fellow Dutch DJ Tiesto, who signed him to his label, Musical Freedom, and released the track with vocals from British singer Becky Hill on June 23, 2014. Heldens also has a weekly podcast titled Heldeep Radio, which has been ongoing for over 2 years. In 2015, he began producing bass house songs under the alias HI-LO, which comes from 'Oli H' in reversed form. Under his alias, Heldens produced three singles titled "Crank It Up", "Renegade Mastah" and "Wappy Flirt", releasing the latter two on his label Heldeep Records.

Mark Reeder China Tour

Mark Reeder grew up in Manchester, England. He is a musician and record producer. At a young age, Reeder became interested in progressive rock and especially early electronic music. In his teens, he worked in a small Virgin Records store in Manchester city center.

Reeder has been living and working in Berlin since 1978. He is also the founder and owner of the German electronic dance music label "MFS" and "Flesh". In 1991, Reeder discovered the teenage Paul van Dyk, guiding and paving his way to build up his now international DJ superstardom. Through books as Dave Haslam's "Adventures on the wheels of steel - The rise of the superstar djs" it is now clearly understood that Reeder initiated and successfully outlined Paul van Dyk's early career from 1991 until 1999.

Megadeth 2017 China Tour

Megadeth is an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California. Guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson formed the band in 1983 shortly after Mustaine's dismissal from Metallica. A pioneer of the American thrash metal scene, the band is credited as one of the genre's "big four" with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer, responsible for thrash metal's development and popularization. Megadeth plays in a technical style, featuring fast rhythm sections and complex arrangements. Themes of death, war, politics and religion are prominent in the song lyrics.

Childs 2017 China Tour

Paul Marr��n and Guillermo Batiz are the dynamic duo behind the epic electronic lullabies of Childs. Inspired by anime aesthetics, Icelandic elfin pop, sounds from the shoegaze era in the early nineties and indie rock, Childs have developed a strong cult following in their country. Their music stops short of being more than dream passages in a world full of pop opportunities, transcending simple trends of indie electronic music. With live instrumentation and intense performances in a live setting, Childs is one of the young electronic acts that live up to the task of transforming the precepts of Mexican electronic and rock music. Their music is a soft melange of digital, analog and acoustic sounds that they describe as "electronic lullabies".

Priscilla Ahn "LaLaLa" 2017 World Tour in Beijing

After years of performing at open mic nights, Priscilla Ahn played a showcase in New York City for Blue Note Records and was signed to the label. In 2008, Blue Note Records released her full-length debut album, A Good Day, produced by Joey Waronker. The following June, Ahn went on a national tour. Her album, A Good Day included musical contributions by keyboardists Greg Kurstin, Keefus Ciancia, guitarist Mike Andrews, musical saw player Ursula Knudsun, cellist and string arranger Oliver Kraus, keyboardist Larry Goldings and singers Jim Gilstrap and Orin Waters. Ahn's music is described as grounded in folk, country and pop. Ahn explored electropop music in the album This Is Where We Are.

Jazz Weekend - French Jazz Artist Thomas Enhco Piano Recital

Thomas Enhco, born in Paris, France, on September 29th 1988, starts playing the violin and piano at an early age, and studies classical music and jazz in both instruments. He starts composing at six, and gives his first concerts with a band made up of young children. At the age of nine he is invited by Didier Lockwood to participate with him in the Antibes Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival. At ten years old he plays the role of a young violinist in the film directed by Otar Iosseliani, Adieu, Plancher des Vaches.

The National Library hosts an exhibition in partnership with the British National Library, showcasing rare prints and first editions of classics including the manuscript of Dicken's Nicolas Nickelby, the revised manuscript of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, a draft of Wordsworth's poem I Roam Like A Cloud and other important works of literature.

LMT Connection Live in Xi'an

Calling all music funs! We are very happy to welcome back the world-famous funk band from Canada, LMT Connection, to conduct a one time performance in Xi'an on May 6. IAAF Diamond League Shanghai 2017

IAAF Diamond League Shanghai was known as the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix when it launched as the first world-class track and field event in China in 2005. IAAF Diamond League is a top annual series of track and field meets which has been held globally since 2010. There are 14 individual meets holding in different cities throughout Asia, North America and Europe. In 2010 the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix has been invited to join the prestigious IAAF Diamond League and became one of the only two stops in Asia.
