Apples are a delicious fruit that need little help tantalizing the tastebuds. That’s what makes apple pie one of the most popular deserts in the world. It’s easy as pie to make and almost impossible to do wrong!

Ingredients

6 Granny smiths
100g granulated sugar (increase or decrease to taste)
1oz Butter
2 unbaked pie crusts

Method
1. Place the apple juice and sugar into a pan and preheat the oven to 175°c
2. Peel and core the apples and slice into segments, placing them straight into the pan to avoid browning
3. Place the pan over a medium heat and allow the apple juice to boil, before bringing down to a simmer, stirring continuously, until the fruit is tender and the sauce is thickened.
4. Spoon the mixture into the pie crusts, seal with egg, or milk and cover with the top crust
5. Bake in the oven until the pastry is just starting to turn golden brown.
