The newly revamped Quanjude Peking roast duck restaurant's Qianmen branch is the oldest in the group. This year it is offering a Christmas Eve dinner featuring newly created duck dishes presented in modern ways. You could try the sweet and sour deep-fried heart-shaped cake with duck heart, duck meat and crisp bread crust wrapping. Or how about the duck cubes served with scallop on clam shell. Besides all that, the Qianmen branch offers one of the best Peking roast duck, duck chops and gold-medal Quanjude duck of the group's branches. 6511-2418

Yunnan food and Christmas party

Try modern but authentic Yunnan food at Club Camp, where the dcor is fashionable and elegant and the restaurant offers Yunnan delicacies specially prepared for Christmas Eve. Taiwan Hotel's Chinese restaurant offers imperial-style Chinese feasts from 588 yuan-1,088 yuan per person, or Jiangsu Huaiyang cuisine at 488 yuan per person, with a show. Beijing International Hotel's Starlight Revolving Restaurant has a Christmas Eve seafood buffet feast, with a 360-degree view of Beijing. T.G.I. Friday's introduces a Christmas Eve and New Year Eve feast, featuring two cocktails, one appetizer, one salad, two courses, one dessert and two after-meal drinks. The meals cost just 488 yuan for two , available from December 23rd-January 5th. Dishes include flat iron steak, sesame Jack chicken strips, Jack Daniel's glazed ribs, besides seafood.
