Now, 'cry room' for prisoners to repent

A prison in Fuling, Chongqing municipality, has set up a "cry room" in its premises where inmates are encouraged to sit alone and repent.

According to Wang Yongchao, psychologist in the prison, the room, complete with a sofa, table, chair, fruits and flowers, was set up last December with an aim to make prisoners "feel better" after they repent in seclusion the crimes they have committed.

Wang said, more than 50 prisoners have chosen to visit the room since it's doors opened last year.
