The world's top CT (Computerized Tomography) scanner, called Aquilion ONE, which features a coverage area of 320 detectors rows and covers 16cm in a single pass, has now been installed at Anzhen Hospital in Beijing.

Toshiba's Aquilion ONE can capture the whole heart within one heart beat, which means a whole heart check only needs about 0.35 seconds.

For the first time, physicians in Beijing can get not only a three-dimensional view of an organ, but also see the blood flow in, and function of, the organ.

Unlike other CT scanners, the Aquilion ONE can scan an entire organ in one pass.

"The Aquilion One shortens diagnosis time and cuts expenses," says Zhang Zhaoguang, dean of Anzhen Hospital.
