New 'Kung Fu Panda' Movie Releases Trailer
The latest installment of the Hollywood animated blockbuster film "Kung Fu Panda" has released a trailer on movie Web site M1905.com. The 30-second video clip indicates that the sequel will continue its original humorous tone and have more Chinese elements.
According to the movie synopsis released by film production company DreamWorks, panda Po will travel to China to search for a secret weapon that can destroy his new enemy, Lord Shen. Po also will discover his origins in the birthplace of pandas.
Film director Jennifer Yuh Nelson has assembled the old cast to voice the same roles. Chinese-Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh along with Hollywood stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Victor Garber will provide voices for the film's new characters.
The first installment of the animated feature was released in China on June 20, 2008. It earned 190 million yuan (US$27.1 million) at the box office.
The new film will be released in 3-D on May 26.
