Wulingyuan, “the perfect heaven”

The park also known as Zhangjiajie, covers an area of almost 243 square miles, the park is characterized by stunning karts pillars of sandstone, covered with sub-tropical rainforest, but the element that adds more mystery to the area is the constant fog which obscure the view. The latter is mainly due to its very humid and hot climate which can easily reach the temperature of 30Celsius degree by afternoon. The area is easily accessible as China Flights provides flights to Zhangjiajie City thanks to its domestic airport. Once tourists reach the city, public transport such train and mini buses, run to the one hour distant Village of Zhangjiajie Cun which is also the entrance to the park that charges a 248 Yuan entrance fee. For any problem or queries don’t wait to contact China Tours.

The Park offers a transport service, two cable cars, one located near Zhangjiajie Cun that runs for half a mile up to the top of Huang Shi Zhai, while the second one is located few miles to the east of the park and goes near Souxiyu Cun.There are many things to do within the park; one of the main activities is hiking the sandstones to spot amazing views that really worth the effort. However for those still inexpert hikers the above mentioned cable cars give the opportunity to reach a point high enough to admire the breath-less landscape. However the park covering such an enormous area makes it really hard to visit in only few days time. For this reason travellers are strongly advised to plan and organise their trip in advance according to what they want to see. Moreover the purchase of a map will be really helpful as in some locations of the park there is an inadequacy of signage. For this reason I will list the main point to visit in the park. Huang Shi Zhai represents the highest area of the park at 3,450 feet, it can be climbed thank to 3,878 step stairway. The KongZhong Tianyuan, this garden sits on a outcropping surrounded by slender peaks. Xianren Qiao from Chinese Bridge of the Immortals, this spectacular landscape is characterized the narrow rock bridge over a deep gorge with no railings. For this reason is absolutely prohibited the access to the blocked bridge, even if some “daredevil” choose to cross it anyway. Around this point there are amazing views together with “the great Viewing Platform”, “Emperor’s Throne” and “Cock-Pecking”.

Another site that tourists should include on their route, is the Golden Whip Stream. The latter rive runs through the park for several miles and a path next to it offers the opportunity to walk along and reach one of the most beautiful spot of the park which includes The First Bridge in the World. Tourists are able to accommodate near this area, thanks to Zhongtian International Yoth Hostel available on China Hotels. Tian Xia Di Yi Qiao as previously said is the First Bridge in the world, a natural rock bridge with guard rails that make tourists feels safer. More adventure tourist should experience the Yaozizai are which is the less crowded, sometimes is really hard to encounter someone along the way, but the scenery is just breathless.

Briefly the Wulingyuan Park is increasing its awareness among tourists, representing a spot that gives the opportunity to experience in first person the authentic Chinese nature.
