The sixth Chinese Festival of Peking Opera Art is being held from Nov 2 to Nov 18 in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province.

Peking Opera troupes from all over China, and one from the United States, are participating in the 35-play festival, presenting both traditional and new works.

Many famous Pekiang Opera singers, such as Shang Changrong, Mei Baojiu and Yu Kuizhi, are scheduled to perform.

Peking Opera was inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Culture Heritage of Humanity in 2010.
