More than 60 scholars from China, India and other countries exchanged ideas about cultural cooperation at the third China-South Asia Cultural Forum, which started in Sichuan's provincial capital Chengdu on Nov 23.

Themes focused on cooperation among Asian countries and the revitalization of oriental cultures.

The previous forums were staged in Beijing and New Delhi. This year's event also commemorates the 150th anniversary of Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore's birth.

The forum was sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), CPAFFC's Sichuan branch and Sichuan University.
