Chinese-American artist Min Ren is holding his first solo show, Happy Accident, at Huantie Times Art Gallery in Beijing.

On display are more than 50 abstract paintings, including oil pieces, ink scrolls and multimedia works, all imbued with the poetic feel of Chinese colored ink landscapes.

"(The exhibition) reveals the artist's two-decade endeavor to create a new style that blends Western art techniques, Chinese aesthetics, and his observations on Mother Nature and social life," art critic Xu Jiang says.
