Starting on May 16, passengers on Dragonair flights from Beijing to Hong Kong can savor foods prepared by the award-winning restaurant Summer Palace.

China World Hotel, the restaurant’s home base, announced a collaboration with Dragonair on May 14 in Beijing. Summer Palace will offer passengers a new in-flight menu featuring Chinese cuisine. The restaurant combines classic Cantonese cuisine with light, creative Huaiyang food.

Chefs Kenny Chan and Hou Xinqing designed the menu. Chan, who hails from Hong Kong, has a deep understanding of Cantonese cuisine, while Hou, from Yangzhou, brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to the enterprise.

The Chinese menu will be offered to all passengers, not just to first class and business class travelers. Passengers in economy class will also be able to enjoy the delicious dishes from Summer Palace.

The new menu lists more than 20 dishes, selected from among the restaurant’s most popular dishes. Highlights include tomato jelly with goose liver, braised pork soft rib with egg and dark soy sauce, pan-fried cod and fried beef with black pepper.
