Brasserie FLO Beijing is taking the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its founding to offer new dishes and organize food events.
Competition is fierce in the Western cuisine arena in Beijing, especially in the last two years, as the Chinese government's curb on corruption lead to a decline in business among high-end eateries.
But with a good understanding of the local market, FLO has been doing well and remained popular among Chinese customers. It has turned itself into a place for friends and family to meet and enjoy affordable French cuisine. Foie gras, oysters and snails have become some of the most popular choices at the restaurant.
While some high-end Western cuisine restaurants are closing down, the FLO Group opened a new establishment—Café Flo, at the popular Park View Green. The café is said to offer an authentic French experience in a relaxed dining environment suitable for people of all ages and all walks of life.
It will be a simplified and cozier version of the FLO Brasserie, with a modern, Parisian-styled interior and classic French ambiance, according to the restaurant.
In Cafe FLO, expect classic dishes such as beef Bourguignon, homemade baguettes and Quiche Lorraine. But there are also simply made fresh pastries, fresh juices and ground coffee.
