The JW Marriot Hotel Beijing Central opens its Italian restaurant Casalingo on Friday.

To celebrate, Casalingo will offer a weekday Milan steak meal including a steak, soup of the day, salad and dessert for 98 yuan ($16).

The new restaurant features traditional Italian dishes including Casalingo porchetta, ossobuco with polenta and prosciutto di San Daniele DOP.

All ingredients are imported from Italian farms, according to a hotel spokesperson.

Thirty-two types of wine from Italy, Australia and Chile will be available in the restaurant with free self-help antipasti.

Casalingo aims to serve the best Italian food in Beijing and from January the restaurant will offer a weekend brunch.
