Steak and wine

What makes a sizzling slab of New York strip really sing? At Morton's of Chicago Beijing this month, the steakhouse's answer is a 2010 Cote-Rotie Madiniere, part of a French wine-pairing dinner with one of the Northern Rhone's most prestigious winemakers, Yves Culleron. Expect rich and elegant wines that reflect the unique local terroirs from such appellations as Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Cote-Rotie in the cozy seclusion of Morton's private dining spaces. 950 yuan plus a 15 percent service charge (10 percent discount for Sarment Luxe members).

6:30-10 pm, Jan 28. 2/F Regent Hotel, 99 Jinbao Street, Dongcheng district. 010-6523-7777.
