White Collar Boxing, a reality show featuring six white collar professionals in China being trained to fight in the ring, is currently being aired on tv.sohu.com.

Premiering on July 31, the show offers eight weeks of fun for the audience, as the real estate broker, the producer, the fashion designer, the former pageant contestant, the CEO, and the actor receive intense training and workouts, and even pummel each other in preparation for the fight.

Originating in a New York gym in the late 1980s, white collar boxing, where both male and female white collar workers train to fight on special occasions, has become an international sport and is gaining popularity in China.

Compared with professional boxing, the bouts in an amateur fight are mercifully brief, with only three rounds of two minutes' fighting. The white-collar fighters also wear lighter gloves than professionals, and are protected by headgear. The fighters' motivations to join include keeping fit, taking a challenge and relieving stress.

The show is aired on tv.sohu.com at 9pm every Wednesday. Click here to watch the previous episodes.
